I was having a problem with my right aid. The price to fix it was high. I went through the “trust” info paper and was lucky enough to get my appointment. Wow! What a very helpful person. Dr. Steffel gave me my hearing test in a very quiet booth. She showed me which aids were best for me. She was good at making sure I understood my aids. Also helped when I fell and broke my left aid. The aids are “GREAT”.

The service was outstanding, I had to rush my order through for financial reasons and (Janesville Hearing) did a wonderful job helping me with this. I had one issue with one of them hearing aids and Emily (Dr. Steffel) was right on top of it, had a replacement device in a few days. Also, I had an appointment time wrong by almost an hour but again (Dr. Steffel) took care of this for me and saved me an extra trip. She was also very thorough explaining the use of my hearing aids, very patient, kind and I will definitely keep going back and they are worth the drive, since I am an hour away. A big thanks to Emily (Dr. Steffel) and Jackie for awesome customer service!
Greeting Doctor Thayyil, I simply thank you for your kindness, patience, and professionalism as you worked with my father, Raymond Acton, yesterday. Dad is suffering with significant memory loss, as well as other weighty maladies, and is certainly not the person he was for the past 85 years. There are times, such as during our appointment yesterday, when his health issues are particularly acute, and his communication skills are tested. Despite being asked the same question repeatedly, you never flinched and gave my father all the attention he needed. You continued to explain his new hearing aids completely and thoroughly so that my sister and I could relay the information to Dad’s caregivers at Azura Memory Care.
Working with Janesville Hearing throughout the process of replacing Dad’s hearing aids was completely professional and exceeded our expectations. I can’t remember when I could hear this well. After 30 years of frustration from not being able to hear properly and three sets of hearing aids, I was ready to throw in the towel. I decided to try one more time and made an appointment with Teresa A Thayyil, Au.D. at Janesville Hearing. Her expertise was immediately apparent, and I left the appointment with a trial pair of hearing aids. Already I could hear better than I had in many, many years. After a short trial period I ordered a pair complete with molded earpieces instead of the generic rubber kind at Teresa’s suggestion. Boy was she right.
I am now able to hear and communicate better than I have in so many years, especially with my grandchildren. Instead of constantly saying “what” to people all the time, I’m now able to hear most of the conversations I’m in.
I’m very grateful for Dr. Thayyil. Her knowledge and patience have helped my gain back one of my senses. I give the highest recommendation to Dr. Thayyil and Janesville Hearing.
